Georgia Mae (Swaffer) Austin, 85, of Holladay, Tennessee (formerly of Purdy, Missouri was called home to Heaven on Monday December 6, 2021. She was born in McDowell, Missouri on December 24, 1935; the daughter of the late Sam Jefferson and Georgia Emma (Henderson) Swaffer.
She was a retired office clerk.
Georgia is survived by three sons: Steve Austin of Holladay, Tennessee, Phillip Christopher Austin of Holladay, Tennessee, and William "Andy" Austin of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter: Rebecca Austin-Cooley of Tennessee; one brother: Billy Swaffer of Hayesville, Kansas; two sisters: Betty Wormington of Monett and Ruth Ann Martin of Pine Ridge, Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren: April Ann, Christopher, Brandy, Maleah, Rachel, Holly Ann, W.C. Chandler, Trisha, Georgia Faye, Phillip Jr. (P.J.), Hank Jr., Priscilla Marie, Crystal, Jacob and Brandy; and several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Sam and Georgia; one son: William "Billy" Austin; one grandchild: Eddie John; and four siblings: Samuel "Sammy" Swaffer, Charles Edmund Swaffer, Virginia Louise Stephens and Virginia Maxine Swaffer.
