He attended the University of Hyderabad where he received his BA and his LLB and the University of Karachi where he received a LLM. He practiced in the city of Hyderabad from 1961 until 1967. During his career he was a civil judge, senior civil judge, additional district and sessions judge, district and sessions judge. He also served as Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court from April 22, 1999 until February 3, 2000.
