She enjoyed going on casino trips with her sisters and stopping to pick up her daily morning coffee before going to purchase her scratch off tickets. To show her love, kindness, and generosity for others, Patricia, fondly referred to as 'Tappy' by her family, had a passion for cooking and baking especially Slovak foods. Nobody left her house hungry or without an armful of cookies and leftovers. Above all, she loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. During basketball season, you would find her cheering on her two favorite college teams - NC or Duke.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Francis Bozic; two daughters: Kimberly Kopas and her husband Michael of Punxsutawney, and Leslie Bozic and her companion, Sam Levy of Punxsutawney; two grandchildren: Courtney Humphrey and her husband Jordan of Raleigh, NC and Dane Kopas of Baltimore, MD; she is also survived by a sister, Rose Smouse of Amherst, NY.
In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her five siblings: William "Sham" Shiock, Bernard Shiock, Elizabeth Uzzo, Bernice Christopher, and Rita Volpe.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 at Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo as celebrant. Burial will be at the Adrian-Anita Roman Catholic Cemetery.
The family asks anyone attending mass to please follow COVID 19 restrictions and wear a mask.
To honor her successful battle against breast cancer, donations can be made to 'Lisa's Ladybugs Patient Care Fund' or a local charity of the donor's choice.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
