Junie Jewell Green, 77, of Macon passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side.
Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd, Macon with Pastor Mike Quicke officiating. The family will have a time of visitation with viewing Friday, May 5, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Barren County, Kentucky, Jewell was the son of the late Garland and Lilly Green.
He retired from Brown and Williamson after several years of faithful service as a Senior Fab Tech.
Jewell was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed skeet shooting, and yard work. He had a passion for all types of Bluegrass music and even played the banjo. Jewell absolutely loved his 55 Chevy BelAir that his son restored for him.
Above everything, he was a family man, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, and his greatest joy in life came from spending time with those he loved most.
Jewell was preceded in death by his parents, as well as 11 siblings.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 55 years: Judy Green. Three children: Kathy Ashby (Rick), Michael Green, and Sherry Knowles (Jamie). Six grandchildren: Erin Searcy (Earl), Lisa Green, Michael Green, Casie Green, Chandler Knowles, and Chloe Knowles. Four great-grandchildren, and one brother: Eugene Green. Jewell will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
