Cora A. Adkins, age 100, formerly of White Lake, died December 31, 2021 at Homme Home in Wittenberg.

Cora was born on June 7, 1921 in Rowan County, Kentucky to the late Steve and Angeline Dehart. She came to Evergreen township, WI in 1924 with her family.

On June 18, 1940 she married Ransom Adkins at the Jackson County Courthouse in the state of Iowa. They resided in Evergreen township with their 2 sons until moving to Waukegan, IL in 1949.

Ransom preceded her in death in 1982. In 1983, Cora returned to their home place in Evergreen township, where she welcomed the assistance of many friends, neighbors, and relatives. Especially helpful to her were Mike and Alice Klimoski , Mildred Goffin, and Jim and Sharon Mackeiwicz and their family.

While at home, Cora enjoyed her cat Pooh, raising chickens, gardening, and visits from her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons George Rabon (Jean) Adkins and Arnold Daniel (Marj) Adkins, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Grace Roe, brothers Acie and James Dehart, an infant brother Claude Dehart, and a grandson Bryan Scott Adkins.

A graveside service will be held on January 7, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Langlade Cemetery.
