BARBARA JEAN SMITH WISEMAN, age 82, of Decherd, Tenn., departed this life on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, Tenn., following an extended illness. Ms. Wiseman was born in Anderson, Tenn., to the late Peter and Ethel Jordan Smith on November 29, 1939. She was a Homemaker most of her life except for 15 years when she was employed at the former Winchester Hat Corporation. She was a member of the former Winchester Church of God of Prophecy. She was an avid Nascar Fan and U.T. Basketball fan and was a little partial to the Lady Vols. She enjoyed being outside with nature and working in her flowers. She could often be found playing cards with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Wiseman, Jr. on January 28th of this year. Sons; Tim and Mike Smith and a brother, Jimmy Wayne Smith.
She is survived by Daughters; Cathy Davis of Decherd, Sharon (Dewey) Franklin of Cowan, Kim Limbaugh and Steve Meeks of Decherd, Tammy Baker of Manchester, Angela (Rodney) Glasner of Cowan and Linda Haney and Bee Archey of Decherd. 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Sister, Mary Jo Curtis of Estill Springs, Tenn.
Visitation for Ms. Wiseman will be held from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 24 2022, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Pastor Dwight Rowe, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Cowan Montgomery Cemetery in Cowan where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, "Junior" Wiseman.
