He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Burks Sword; and brothers, Tommy Sword and Larry Sword. Surviving are his daughters, Brenda (Dale) Hubbard of Wewahitchka, FL, and Portia (Doug) Ladley of Sterling, OH; niece, Whitney Shoaf of Sterling, OH; and sister, Judy Harper of Washington Courthouse, OH.
