Mr. Bobby Howard Carmichael, 71, of Southwest City, Mo., and formerly of Cedartown, passed away Saturday, May 15. Mr. Carmichael was born January 28, 1933 in Polk County. He worked for Lee Cylinders in Cedartown before his retirement. He served two years in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion in Rockmart and Southwest City, Mo. He was preceded in death by his father, George Frank Carmichael and a daughter, Pamela C. Bishop. Mr. Carmichael is survived by his mother, Helen Carmichael of Cedartown; daughters, Jennifer Cooper of Southwest City, Mo., Beth Paris of Eatonton, Ga., and Faith Miller of Cedartown; sisters, Jean Powell of Cedartown and Fay Lawerence of Monore, N.C.; two daughters by heart, Hope Allred of Muscadine, Al. and Charity Garst of Cedartown. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 20, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Davis officiated. Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens with full Military Honors conducted by the Brown Wright Post 12. Pallbearers included David D. Paris, Dustin Paris, J.R. Bishop, Eric Miller, Mathew Miller and Steven Miller. Honorary Pallbearer was Colton Cooper.
