BILL JOE ANSORGE, 77, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 2:45 P.M. Thursday, March 17, 2022 at home in Jasonville.
He was born January 17, 1945 in Princeton, IN to Willie Franklin Ansorge and Georgia Belle (Beadle) Ansorge.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Janet Ansorge of Jasonville, INwhom he married on September 17, 1972; children, Darren Ansorge(Linda) of Holton, MI, Rebecca Bedwell (Jeremy) of Terre Haute, IN; grandchildren, Chris Ansorge (Melissa), John Jenkins (Victoria), Ryan Ansorge (Eren), Beverly Ansorge (Josh); great-grandchildren — 11; sister, Linda Inman of Jasonville, IN; several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Danny Ansorge; grandson, Darren Michael Ansorge.
Bill worked with explosives at NSW Crane until he retired. He enjoyed woodworking, loved fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and studied the life of Jesse James and had watched the movie Tombstone many times. Bill was a US Army Veteran. He attended Lebanon Baptist Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Monday March 21, 2022 at the Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow at 1 P.M. with Pastor Mike Rotmanofficiating.
Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery near Howesville, IN with Military Graveside Rites.
