Martha Pearl (Little-Hall) Salisbury, age 101, passed away late Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at her home, surrounded by family. She was born February 14, 1921, daughter of June and Bill Mollett. She was one of 13 children. She is survived by brothers Bobby Mollett and Charles Mollett, both of Thelma, Kentucky. Pearl married Vester Little on May 10, 1939. Together they had 7 children. Two have preceded her in death, Sylvester Little and Jeanetta Rose Farmer. She leaves behind five children: Buford (Janice) Little of Louisville, Kentucky, Larry (Meko) Little of Saline, Michigan, Charles (Anna) Little of Port Richie, Florida, Virginia (Willis) Little of Wayne, Michigan, and Glen Little of Wheelwright, Kentucky. Her first husband, Vester Little, passed away in 1986. Pearl married Elder Vernon Hall a few years later, but sadly he only lived a couple of months. A few years later, Pearl married Herbert Salisbury, and he also preceded her in death. Pearl joined the United Baptist Church in 1944, and later joined Little Nancy Church of Old Regular Baptist in 2010. She was very happy there. She had to move to Michigan in 2018 for health reasons and was sad she had to leave her home and church family. She always hoped to go back but was unable to do so. Besides her five children, she leaves behind daughter-in-law Patricia Little of Ypsilanti, MI, son-in-law Clayton Little of Canton, MI, also 20 grandchildren; two preceded her in death: Matthew Little and Ronnie Little. She leaves behind many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Pearl lived a full life and enjoyed sharing about it. She said her parents had a chicken farm, and were the first family in Wheelwright, Kentucky to own an automobile, when there weren't even roads yet. She remembered that Vester courted her on a bicycle. She enjoyed cooking, canning, watching black and white television shows like Gunsmoke, and loved soap operas and "chillers" scary movies. Her faith and church were very important to her, and she loved getting dressed up and going out with her church friends and neighbors. We know she is in a better place now and doesn't have to worry about anything anymore. There is so much to say about her, but we are thankful we had her as long as we did. She is truly going to be missed.
