Leander David Whitaker 48, of Pekin, Indiana passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022 in Louisville, KY. Born on February 16, 1974 in Louisville to the late Hansford and Mary Lou Whitaker. He last worked for Parker-Hannifin in Indiana and previously Carriage House foods and Papa Johns in Kentucky. He was a member of Doty Creek Church in Jeremiah, KY.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Lynn Whitaker of Pekin, IN; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hansford and Mary Lou Whitaker.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Ralph Cloud, Elder Paul Jones, Elder Raymond Cloud and Elder Jeff Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Double Springs Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers are James Caudill, Dennis Foreman, Michael Whitaker, Mark Hines, Harvey Whitaker, Jr., Matthew Whitaker and Virgil Blair.
