Wounded and captured at Goldsboro on December 17, 1862. Paroled the same day. Listed as a deserter on January 12, 1863. Apprehended on June 21, 1863 and returned to duty. Reported present on surviving company muster rolls through April 1864. Captured at Wilderness, Virginia on May 6, 1864. Confined at Point Lookout yankee prison, Maryland on May 17, 1864. Transferred to Elmira yankee prison, New York on July 23, 1864. Released from Elmira on May 29, 1865.
