Funeral services for Pratt Carmon, 82, of Ardmore, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Harvey-Douglas Chapel with the Rev. Thom Balmer officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Carmon was born Oct. 14, 1917, in Ardmore to Stanley Pratt and Addie Wilson Carmon Sr. and died Aug. 16, 2000, in a Hurst, Texas, nursing facility. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was married to Helen Lewis on April 10, 1937, in Ardmore, where he was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Ardmore High School and worked with his father at his lumber company which he later owned and operated.

He is survived by his wife of the home; a daughter, Carol Cole of Hurst; a son, Jerry Carmon of Irving, Texas; a sister, Marie Pruitt, Oklahoma City; a niece, Joyce Breakbill; nephew, Butch Bridges; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Bearers will be Clarence "Salty" Bridgman, Darrell Deatherage, Grover Wells, Richard Walters, Charles Walters and Thomas Berryhill.

Services are under the direction of Harvy-Douglas Funeral Home in Ardmore.Son of Stanley P. Carmon Sr and Addie P. Murphree Carmon
