Funeral services for Bettie Jean Womack, 78, of Bossier City, LA will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, June 27, 2022 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Philen officiating and Rev. Charlie Ashby assisting. Interment will follow in Clear Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Womack was born May 28, 1944 in Zwolle, LA and passed away June 23, 2022. Bettie had a passion for reading and watching Hallmark movies. She loved spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Morris L. Womack; parents, Paul and Ethel Council; four brothers, Paul D. Council, Douglas R. Council, Sr., Leroy Council, and Carlton K. Council; and two children, Renee Mason and Troy Mason.

Mrs. Womack is survived by three sons, A. J. Burnes, Jr. and wife, Gail of Plain Dealing, LA, Jeff Mason of Dixie Inn, LA, and Roy Mason and wife, Star of Borger, TX; three daughters, Connie Nowlin and significant other, Freddie Gates of Shreveport, LA, Tracey Philen and husband, James of Florien, LA, and Tina Cantrell and husband, Scottie of Bossier City, LA; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her nephews: Donnie Council, Gary Council, Terry Council, Ray Council, Robert Council, and Rick Self. Honorary pallbearer will be Kevin Jones.

The family would like to express a huge thanks to Life Path Hospice.
