Survivors include his wife Bonnie Reed, two sons Tony (Renee) Doyle of Maysville, Kentucky and Chris (Keisha) Reed of Salyersville, Kentucky. Four grandchildren; Brooke Perkins, Megan Doyle, McKenzie Doyle and Baby Reed who's on the way. Three great grandchildren; Cassidy Perkins, Wyatt Perkins and Griffin Cotten and one niece Sara Reed.
Besides Gary's parents he is preceded in death by two brothers; Andrew Reed and Wayne Douglas Reed and a nephew; Stephen Reed.
Gary served his country in the United States Army and then retired from Gas and Oil. He was a member of the Prestonsburg Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Gary Reed will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, July 29, 2022 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Reed Family Cemetery at Elsie, Kentucky. Officiating will be Shawn Slone and Charles Puckett. Family and Friends may visit at the Magoffin County Funeral Home from 6 pm to 9 pm Wednesday, July 27, 2022 and anytime prior to funeral services on Friday, July 29, 2022.
There will be military rites given by the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 the day of the funeral service.
NOTE: Due to inclement weather the funeral for: Gary Reed, has been rescheduled for 1 pm Friday, July 29, 2022.
