Wilfrid Daly, age 84, died March 3, 2004. He grew up in
Yonkers, N.Y. and attended the Riverdale Country School and Columbia
University.
At the outbreak of World War II, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps,
serving in China and India as a B-24 pilot.
In 1943, he married Nancie McIntosh of San Francisco, CA. They had
four children, Wilfrid, Kenneth, Pamela and David.
He worked for Associated Aviation Underwriters in New York City and Los Angeles for 41 years, rising to the rank of Executive Vice President.
In 1968, he married the former Gloria S. Anderson. Upon retirement,
they relocated to Pebble Beach, CA.
He served on the Board and was a member of The Planned Parenthood of
Monterey County, The SPCA of Monterey County, The Cypress Point Club and
The Old Capital Club of Monterey.
He is survived by his four children and six grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his wife Gloria, and his grandson, Michael. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday at Church in the
Forest, Pebble Beach, followed by reception at Cypress Point.
