Mr. Beaver was born Aug. 7, 1941, in Luray, a son of the late Garnet P. Beaver and Agnes L. Carter Beaver.
He was the owner and operator of Johnny's Auto Service, Inc.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Alan Beaver of Union and Wayne Page Beaver of Luray; two brothers, Gary Scott Beaver and Donald A. Beaver, both of Luray; a sister, Nancy Huffman, Luray; a companion, Barbara K. Steiner, Luray; a stepson, Chad Eric Breeden, Luray; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at the Luray Fire Department.
