Robert Houston Watson Jr., 90, of Raceland, KY passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Watson was born on January 2, 1932 in Hanging Rock, Ohio to the late Robert and Luella Wilson Watson.

IN addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Sara Frances Willis in 1990, and his second wife Belle Sizemore in 2004.

Robert retired from Armco Steel in 1990 after 35 years of employment. He served in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, Raceland where he was a past Deacon. Robert enjoyed reading, UK football and basketball, being active in his church, coaching little league football, and baseball, but most of all spending quality time with his family, and friends.

He is survived by his three children; Teresa Jones (Tim Bragg), Jeff (Cindy) Watson, Kim McKercher. Five grandchildren; Jeremy (Amanda) Jones, Daniel (Fallon) Watson, Thomas (Kayla) Watson, Madeline McKercher, Molly McKercher, two great-grandchildren; Aiden Watson, Dexter Watson, and a host of loving friends and family that will miss him dearly.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 14, 2022, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Pastor Tom Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6-9 P.M. Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the funeral home.
