Jessie Whaley Floyd, 85, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, August 2, 2018.
She was born Feb. 9, 1933, to the late Jessie Martin and Edith Pearl Whaley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Floyd, and sisters, Dorothy Walker and Ann Meadows.
Mrs. Floyd had a strong Christian faith and she loved her Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church family. She owned and operated Jessie Whaley School of the Dance. Mrs. Floyd loved her cats.
Survivors include her nephews, Jack Meadows, Bill Meadows, Phil Meadows, and Steve Walker.
Memorial services will be on Thursday, Aug. 9, at 11:30 a.m. at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, Marr Chapel with Reverend Margaret Ferguson officiating.
The family will receive friends in the Church Greeting Room immediately following the service.
