Myra McCroskey Emery, age 69, of Heiskell went to be in the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ January 21, 2021.
Myra had a career at BellSouth that spanned 32 years before retiring to spend time serving alongside her husband in various ministries. They especially loved working in the children ministry and on the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team where she traveled to several states over the last few years. Myra was an active member of Second Baptist Clinton. She also loved visiting her favorite place Edisto Island and loving on her eight grand babies.
Survived by her husband and best friend of 28 years, Marvin "Al" Emery; her son, Adam Emery; daughter, Janna Gadd and husband Aaron; grandchildren, Alex Gadd, Aubrey Emery, Blake Gadd, Greyson Emery, Logan Gadd, Ellis Gadd, Jackson Gadd, and McKinley Gadd; her mother, Mary McCroskey Laugherty; brother, Terry McCroskey; brother-in-laws, Danny Emery and Bill Woodhouse; sister-in-laws, Joni McGee and Pam Woodhouse; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, Charles McCroskey and little sister Joyce.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Second Baptist Clinton, 777 Safety Lane on Saturday, March 6th at 2:00 PM with Dr. Mike Thompson and Brother Steve Ross officiating. The family is asking for masks to be worn for everyone's safety.
A special thank you to her physicians Dr. James Hurst and Dr. Ronald Estes; also, to her Sunday school class for their love and support.
