Luana was the beloved wife of the late Ted Jackson; loving mother of Mary (Mark) Noth, Susan (Alan) Chase, David Jackson and Jennifer (Mark) Schell; grandmother of Chris Beresford, Mark & Matt Noth, Josh, Melissa & Vincent Alexander Hisle and Caleb David and Lily Schell; and great grandmother of Lena Noth & Roman, Serana & Atlas Hisle. She was the beloved Aunt of Warren (Tonya) Meister and Great Aunt of Robert Meister.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Bristol and sister, Marilyn Meister, whom she loved very much.
Luana married the love of her life in 1960 and was a homemaker in the younger years of their marriage. She was an excellent seamstress and handcrafted almost all of her children's garments and most of her own clothes. She and her husband were excellent dancers and enjoyed going out dancing on the weekends with their friends and family. Luana loved to play the piano and was very proficient.
In the late 70's, she started her career at American Feintool, where she worked diligently as their Purchasing Agent for many years. Luana was always excited to plan trips and travel with her husband, immediate and extended family. She enjoyed hosting the biggest and best Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and was an excellent cook and baker. During her lifetime, she also helped to raise her Nephew, her Great Nephew and cared for her Mother, Brother and Sister in their times of need.
A small graveside service will be held for immediate family on Saturday, December 10th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Cemetery in St. Bernard. (701 East Ross Avenue 45217)
