Louise, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was born on Jan. 4, 1920, in Corry, Erie County, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her two daughters, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Howard Arthur Ladd, her loving husband of more than 76 years.
Louise worked at Elgin Electronics for a short time, but her working career was cut short by an automobile accident in 1966. Louise was a very talented crafter. Her hobbies included baking, flower gardening, crochet, cross stitch, and embroidery. Louise learned to knit at the age of 95. She was a perfectionist in everything she did, and that applied to each and every project she completed. Louise was a lifelong member of the Elgin United Methodist Church. She was a devoted Christian, who read her Bible every day.
Louise and Howard both treasured their Elgin home of 73 years.
