Son of William Roy and Lilah (Vance) Finnell of Chariton County, MO. Served as an NCO in Second World War, 506th Parachute Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Married June King-Hall in 1944. Lived for many years in Independence, MO. Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Western Missouri -- St. Matthews in Raytown and Trinity in Independence. His first wife predeceased him in 1987. He is survived by his children Felicity, Antoinette, and David; his second wife R. Gayle Finnell; a stepson and a stepdaughter, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
