Patricia Mace Skeens (AKA John), went home to be with her Lord on January 6, 2023.

The sky will be a little bluer, the sun will shine more brightly and Heaven is rejoicing with her presence.

She was born August 15, 1968 to the late Thomas Redo Mace and Betty Lou Mace of St. Albans.

Patricia was a lifelong member of the Lincoln Drive Community Church. She also worked at Women's and Children's Hospital until her early retirement due to health issues.

She was a wife, a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and a best friend. She was undoubtedly the heart and soul, the light and the laughter in our family. She loved everyone and always had a smile to give or a picture to take. Her presence and her laughter has been the biggest blessing and she will be missed beyond measure.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Steve Skeens; her pride and joy, son Joshua Steven Skeens (Kelsey); and granddaughters, MacKenzie and Adalynn. She will also be lovingly remembered by her five sisters, Jeannie Mallory (Kenny), of South Charleston, Phyllis Lanham of Eleanor, Teresa Ervin (James) of Tornado, Debbie Withrow (Roger) of St. Albans, and Bessie Hoffman (David) of Northfolk, VA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m on Wednesday, January 11, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Charles Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Shultz Cemetery.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home.
