Visitation will be Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home for Letha May Alongi, age 95, of Covington, LA, who passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019.

A native of St. Bernard, LA, she was a retired Medical Office Nurse for Dr. Frank Minyard and a member of First Baptist Church of Chalmette. Letha was a member of AARP, The Golden Opportunity, and The Chit Chat Club. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Andrew Stewart and Cora Mary May Darbro Stewart; her loving husband of 46 years, Dominick Joseph Alongi; her son, Dominick Salvador Alongi; her daughter, Letha Mary Alongi; her sisters, Nora Menge, Nola Landry, Dora Antrich, Mary Van Hees; her brother, Nolden Stewart; and her son in law, Eldin Graffeo .
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cora Graffeo, Catherine (Ernest) Krieger, and Nolden (Diane) Alongi; 20 Grandchildren; 31 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
