Gregory Nielsen was born July 4th, 1961 in Springfield, OR, to parents Richard A. Nielsen and Constance Sweet Nielsen. He passed away March 9th, 2016 at age 54. He had been a quadriplegic since May 6th, 2015, due to an auto accident.
Greg attended schools in Springfield, Eugene, and Canby High School. He graduated from LCC, and was a past member of the National Guard.
His interests were Duck football, Pittsburg Steelers, sports trivia, music and American history. Greg especially liked the outdoors, and traveling to the Oregon Coast with fiancé VonZae Miller.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother Constance, stepfather Jack Rawlings, and step-brother Craig.
His survivors include his father Richard, step-mother Anne, fiancé VonZae, sisters Cindy (Bryan), Jana, Tracie, and step-brother Jack.
A special thanks to his fiancé VonZae, and his best friend Dennis Dwyer.
