Janis Lee (Holdren) Kroll, age 80, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2023 after a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease and was lifted into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Janis was born on November 25, 1942, in Zion, Illinois to the late Wallace and Geneva (Dake) Holdren. She married Robert R. Kroll on October 19, 1968, in Oshkosh.

Janis worked in nursing in her earlier years but was able to be a stay at home mother and homemaker for much of their early family life. Later, she worked at Lutheran Homes of Oshkosh where she made many friends. Janis was a talented artist, she painted many birds, still lifes and Christmas Santas, as well as holiday scenes on Christmas ornaments, which she greatly enjoyed.

Janis was someone best described as a woman of faith, family, dignity, and grace. Her strong faith in God was unwavering and ever-present in her heart and mind and evident in everything she said or did.

Left to mourn her passing but celebrate her life are her husband of 54 years, Robert; sons: Neal (Sandy), Mark, Robert II (Kristina); grandchildren: Hannah, Allison, Jake, and Ryan; great grandchildren: Lyle and Lennon; as well as her sister, Joanna (Jim) Miller, nephew Rob, and nieces Melissa and Patty.

As per the family's wishes, no formal public service will be held. A small family ceremony will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
