Norma Jean Sloas, 71, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Monday April 10, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Norma was born May 28, 1951 in Ashland, KY a daughter of the late Samuel Estill and Florence Porter Sloas. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by two brothers, Estill Sloas, Jr. and Truman Watts Sloas; a sister-in-law, Caroline Sloas; and a brother-in-law, Seth Justice. Norma attended Church of God of Prophecy and was a devout Christian. Norma enjoyed her animals and listening to music; and her love was spending time with her precious family. Norma is survived by a son, Michael Sloas of Grayson; a daughter, Julie Jewell of WV; two grandchildren, Taylor (Donovan Spaulding) Cordial and Wesley Cordial; Margaret Conner and Robert Sturgill who were raised as her own children and their children, Gabriel and Nathan Conner who were raised as her grandchildren; three sisters, Rosie Justice of Grayson, Linda (Art) Handloser of Ashland and Jewell Flaugher of Grayson; three brothers, Darrell Sloas, Gerald (Bonnie) Sloas and Edward (Charlene) Sloas all of Grayson; and a host of extended family and friends who all mourn her passing. A private graveside service will be held at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East at a later date.
