She was born Sept. 28, 1921, in Fargo, N.D., the daughter of Hal and Fanny (Reigle) Harris. She grew up and attended schools in Moorhead. She also attended the Moorhead State Teacher's College. She married Loren Hagen of Fargo on Sept. 17, 1941. They lived many years in Moorhead. Eunice and her late husband Loren spent their retirement years in Alexandria where they were members of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. They had many friends, and participated in a variety of community and church-related functions. Throughout her life, Eunice's most cherished role was that of wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devoted homemaker. She volunteered her time freely throughout the years at her church, the Cub Scouts, schools and nursing homes. She was an active long time member of the PEO. Eunice had a passion for reading and would read any mystery novel she could find. She also enjoyed baking and cooking and was an excellent hostess.
A funeral service was held March 7 from the O.E. Larson-Osborne Mortuary at 2301 Central Ave., Minneapolis. Burial was at the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Michael and Carolyn Hagen, Aitkin; and Jeffery and Jeannie Hagen, Wayzata; grandchildren, Doug Hagen, Kara Hofmeister, Justin Hagen and Neely Hagen; and three great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Loren, and a son L. Douglas Hagen.
