Charles E. Schafer, a member of the New York Stock Exchange, died yesterday at his home, 583 North Broadway, Yonkers, after an illness of two years. While he was formerly an active trader on the exchange, he had little or no connection with business since ill-health compelled his retirement three years ago. Mr. Schafer was born in New York City forty-six years ago. His wife, Mrs. Jennie T. Schafer, one son, and two daughters survive him.
