ALLEN, LEO PATRICK

Age 83, long-time resident of Moorestown, NJ, died suddenly in Panama City, FL, on March 24, 2008. He was born in Omaha, NE on December 3, 1924.
He was a WWII Veteran who served as a Navy Corpsman assigned to the 2nd Marine Division in the Pacific Theater. He earned his under- graduate degree from Creighton University in Omaha, NE and received his masters degree in Microbiology from Iowa State University. He was a 30 year employee of Campbell Soup Co. where he held the position of Chief Microbiologist. He was a long-time member of the Moorestown Field Club and a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Moorestown, NJ.

He is survived by his wife Margaret of 61 years; their children and spouses Margaret Mary and her husband Wallace; Barbara and her husband G.A.; Thomas and his wife Suni;Mickey and his wife Karen; Danny; Patrick who pre-deceased his dad; grandchildren Sean and his wife Melissa; Colin; Brian; Trevor; Cavanaugh; Matthew; Kelly; Melanie and Jessica.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation with the family on Thursday, 7:00-9:00pm at McCHESNEY FUNERAL HOME, 30 West Main Street, Moorestown, NJ. Funeral Mass at 10:30am on Friday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Main Street, Moorestown, NJ .
