Clyde Abbott age 80 of Russellville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 at his residence in Russellville, Kentucky. Clyde was born in Butler County, Kentucky on June 17, 1943 to the late William Otho Abbott and Golden L. (Proctor) Abbott. Clyde served as a Fire Fighter for the City of Russellville Fire Department for over three decades. He also owned and operated Abbott's Body Shop and wrecker service for many years. Clyde is preceded in death by his brother, Otho Abbott and his stepdaughter, Jackie Key.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 44 years Jane Abbott, his daughter Sherry Abbott Bouldin (Dudley III) of Russellville, two stepdaughters, Connie Blick (Dorris) and Marina Wilson, seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Clyde Abbott will be conducted Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Chapman officiating and burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Butler County. Visitation will begin Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.

Pallbearers; Dudley Bouldin IV, Henry Bouldin, Douglas Wentworth, Ryland Nichols, Brandon Nichols, Billy Carnal and Lawrence Porter.

The family asks that donations be made to Oak Grove Cemetery of Butler County, Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
