Roy L. Adams, 43, of Grethel, died Saturday, Dec. 10, on U.S. 23 near Harold. following injuries from an automobile accident.
He was born July 4, 1945 in Grethel, a son of the late Elder Milford Adams and Lucy Adams.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Post at Pikeville.
He was a graduate of Betsy Layne High School and Mayo State Vocational School, and worked as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic at Whayne Supply Company in Ivel.
He is survived by his step-mother. Lizzie Newsome Adams of Grethel: his wife, Louverlla Bryant Adams: five sons. Ronald Eugene Adams. Daniel Lewis Adams, Jody Lee Adams. Jason Milford Adams and Roy Dewayne Adams, all of Grethel: four brothers. Walker Adams. Walter Adams. Estill Adams and Junior Adams, all of Wooster, Ohio; and two sisters, Ella White of Jackson. Ohio and Rosie White of Beaver.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m. at the residence at Grethel. with Regular Baptist ministers officiating.
Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery in Teaberry, under the direction of the Hall Funeral Home of Martin.
