Evelyn Lucille Boggs, age 90, of Higbee, Missouri, went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2023.
Evelyn was born on January 14, 1933, in Stover, MO, to Homer Wesley and Eula Eveline (Hayes) Woods. She later married James E Boggs on April 7, 1951, in Lebanon, MO.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing cards and mostly family Sunday dinner. Her family and friends will always remember her cooking. She was the owner operator of Boggs Grocery Store in Higbee, MO.
Evelyn is survived by, James & June "Boggsie" of Higbee, MO, Rita Lyons and Tony, of Higbee, MO, Janet Mealy and Bill, of Higbee, MO, Brenda Dougherty and Harry, of Clark , MO, Ernie 'Boggs and Tammy, of Higbee, MO, Delmer Boggs and Penny, of Moberly, MO and Judy Kirschman of Prairie Home, MO. Sisters, Ruth Thompson of Armstrong, MO and Thelma Washburn of Higbee, MO. 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, James Boggs, daughter, Trudy Boggs, son-in-law, Mark Kirschman, parents, Homer and Eula Woods, brothers, Ralph Woods, Jim Woods and Vincel Woods, sisters, Mae Jones, Letha Step and Wanda Rose Woods.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, followed by interment at Higbee City Cemetery.
