Brenda Sue Kelley, age 69, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.

Brenda was born in Berea, Kentucky to the late Johnie Wesley and Bertha Lee Byrd Kidwell. She retired from the Berea Community School Systems as a bus driver for 32 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shauna Lee Kelley; and three siblings, Johnie Mac Kidwell, William Boyd Kidwell and Patricia Louise Barrett.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 53 years, Barry; her devoted children, Barry Neil (Krystal) Kelley, Jr., and Karrie Ann Kelley; two grandchildren, Chandler Hope Kelley, and Houston Blayne Kelley; and one step grandchild, Dalton Emery Durham; two sisters, Barbara (Buddy) Willis and Diane (Mike) Osborne. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Funeral services will be 1 pm, Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Lakes Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Livingood officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery.
