Mrs. Sue Lanier, Americus, Ga.
Americus, Ga December 27 (Special) Mrs. Sue Lawson Lanier, relict of W. H. Lanier, a valiant confederate soldier died here this morning. She is survived by her sons Frank and Henry Lanier of Americus and Albany. Her remains were carried to West Point for interment.

Susan married William Henry Lanier, son of Reuben Lanier and Arabella Elizabeth Crockett, on November 30, 1859 in Spalding Co., Georgia.
They were the parents of two sons:
William "Henry" Lanier, Jr. (1860-1915)
Frank W. Lanier (1863-1935)
They are buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus, Sumter Co., Georgia.
