Harold L. Raub, age 79, of Shorewood, passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, September 7, 2023, with his family by his side at Lightways Hospice Home, Joliet, IL.

Born October 9, 1943, in Joliet, IL, he was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School, Class of 1961. He worked for Commonwealth Edison as an underground lineman for 28 years. After retirement, he worked for Shorewood Home and Auto. He was a proud member of the Moran Athletic Club and the Knights of Columbus #382, both in Joliet.

Harold loved going to and participating in cruise nights and car shows with his 1964 red Corvette. He loved hanging out with his car show friends with whom he loved like family. If he wasn't out ripping through the gears in his Corvette, he could be found sitting in "Harold's Garage Bar". Everyone was always welcome to stop by and have some laughs and enjoy an ice-cold Milwaukee's Best Light. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite day-by-day thing to do was to take car rides with his beloved dog Rosie. He was loving and caring, always giving to others before thinking of himself.

Preceded by his beloved wife of 52 years, Donna (nee Trubich) Raub, who passed away in 2015; his parents, Louis and Rosemary (nee Sheffler) Raub; and brother, Terry Raub.
