Nell R. (Dorris) Mausey, 90, of Creal Springs passed away at 3:30 P.M. on March 11, 2002 in Marion Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services for Nell were held on Thursday, March 14, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial is in Rose Hill Cemetery
Nell was born on December 7, 1911 in Carterville, IL to Richard Thomas Dorris and Alsina "Sina" (Tanner) Dorris Greeney. She married Robert E. Mausey on September 7, 1929. He passed away on August 25, 1993.
Four sons and daughter-in laws; Robert and Dola Mausey of Creal Springs, Gale and Melba Mausey of Creal Springs, C.W. and Colleen Mausey of Creal Springs and Lowell and Rose Mausey also of Creal Springs survive her. She will be missed dearly by her Thirteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many close friends and her church family.
Her husband and sister, Reba G. DORRIS Raines,1/2 brothers and sisters Alyce Maude DORRIS Watkins,Charles Hillery DORRIS, Beulah May DORRIS, Nell N DORRIS McCluskey, Clara Hope DORRIS Crain,Cynthia Caroline DORRIS Gentry and Charles Ray Greeney and Edith Ruth Greeney preceded her in death.
Nell was a cherished member of the Arnold View Freewill Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school and was very active in the church. She was a Homemaker who loved quilting and tending to her flowers. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. .
