Mildred Mae Deacon, 102, of Waverly, Ohio, passed 5:30 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022 at her home.
Mildred was born January 11, 1920 in Jackson, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lewis Armor Henderson and Chloe Florence (Wyant) Henderson. On April 5, 1945, she was united in marriage to Walter B. Deacon, who preceded her in death on March 6, 2006.
Surviving are a son, Stephen Deacon, five grandchildren, Jason Bielenberg, Michael Deacon and wife April, Charley Shipp, Jonathan Deacon, and Myles Deacon and wife Rachel, five great-grandchildren, Deacon Bielenberg, Gabrielle May Deacon, Olivia Grace Deacon, Emmet Myles Deacon, and Max Robert Deacon, and a brother, Jerry Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Dwayne, Robert "Bob", and Kenny, and two sisters, Jean and Shirley.
Mildred was a homemaker and a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Delaware, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with Pastor Dave Burriss officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Bridge Street, Waverly, Ohio.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service of Saturday.
