Sparkman – Jennett Lowery Sparkman, age 93, of Lake Butler, Florida went to her Heavenly Home on January 12, 2024, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Vienna, Georgia on September 12, 1930, to the late Anthony Pate Lowery and Mamy E. Burnett Lowery. Jennett was raised in Georgia. Following school, she enjoyed her time as a Homemaker tending to her family and home. She resided in Georgia until the early 1950's when she made North Florida her forever home. Jennett was a longtime active member at Riverside Baptist Church in Bell, Florida. She loved playing piano, singing in the church choir, and fellowshipping with her church family. Jennett found great joy in painting and loved making new creations. She was truly gifted, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends. More than anything, Jennett loved her family and enjoyed spending precious time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 6 years, James "J.W." Sparkman; daughter, Patty Williams; brothers, John W. "J.W." Lowery and Mack Lowery; and sisters, Lucille Ogilvie and Maxine Freeman.
Jennett is survived by her loving children, Wesley (Avis) Sheffield of Melrose, FL, Caris Sheffield and Stephen Sheffield both of Bell, FL, Wanda (Doug) Cason of Lake Butler, FL, Bryan Sheffield of Quincy, FL; son-in-law, Bernard Williams of Worthington Springs, FL; sisters, Marie McDonald, Leala Sheffield, and Louise (Dave) Maclsaac; 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Jennett's Life will be held on January 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Ferreira Funeral Services Lake City Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. A Private interment will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
