Loren Edward Holloway, age 72, passed away Monday August 30th, 2010 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV. Loren was born on Sept. 18th, 1937 to his parents the late Earl Holloway and Elizabeth Day Holloway. He was the husband of Linda Robinson Holloway, a retired employee for C & L Coal Co. and a member of the Freewill Baptist church. Along with his parents, Loren was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Holloway Jr., and two sisters, Alma Belcher, and Joyce Stafford. Along with his wife, Loren is survived by one son, Wayne Holloway of Open Fork, three daughters, Debbie Lawson of Dry Fork, Missy Taylor of Upper Chloe, Suzann Holloway of Bowling Fork, two sisters, Sue Kilgore of Hellier, Shirley Reinier of Columbus, Ohio, five grandchildren, Trey Lawson, Morgan Taylor, Karrie Holloway, Lorin Holloway, and Baylin Holbrooks, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 7p.m. at the Alleghany Freewill Baptist Church. Special services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday Sept 2nd, 2010 at 1p.m. at the Alleghany Freewill Baptist Church with Oscar Damron, Jimmy Kerr, and Gordan Damron officiating. The burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. (Burial location was changed prior and family had Mr. Holloway buried at Annie E. Young cemetery.)
