Lee Abner, age 79, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024, in Beattyville, Kentucky. Lee was born on April 28, 1944. He had a passion for life and left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Born to John and Frances Cornett Abner, Lee valued family above all else. 

Lee's hobbies and interests were talking on the CB radio, which was one of his favorite pastimes as he loved connecting with people near and far. In addition to being an excellent conversationalist, he was a skilled mechanic with a knack for engine repair. He also enjoyed gardening. 

Lee leaves behind  his children, who were the pride and joy of his life. He is survived by his loving sons: Kenneth Abner of Oneida, KY, Christopher Abner of AR, and John Abner (Tina) of Oneida, KY,  his loving daughters: Karen Feltner of Tyner, KY, Mary Frances Lane of Lexington, KY, Charity Marie Abner of Oneida, KY, and Carrie Grace Abner of Oneida, KY.  He is survived by two brothers: Edgar Abner and Astor Abner, both residing in Indiana  one sister, Sadie Young (Kenneth) of East Bernestadt, KY.  Lee is survived by a host of by a host of other family and friends. 

Funeral services for Lee Abner will be held at 1p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Brutus Baptist Church, Oneida, KY with Jerry Rice officiating. 

Interment will follow the service at the Lee Abner Cemetery at Oneida, KY.

 A visitation will take place on Monday, February 12, 2024, after 6p.m. at the church. 

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
