Teresa K. Amos, 74 years, currently of Temperance, MI passed away peacefully Sunday, February 11th, 2024 with family by her side after being diagnosed with dementia in 2006. The daughter of John and Susan (Whittier) Kleist she was born November 27th, 1949 in Ithaca, NY.

Teresa married Frederick T. Amos in Romulus, New York on April 11th, 1970.

A homemaker for many years she had also worked as a seamstress for the Salvation Army and a party planner for McDonald's.

Teresa loved the outdoors and all animals, scrapbooking, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed time spent traveling, including her time she lived in Hawaii and Egypt. She also loved taking care of her family and spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by her 2 sons, David Amos of Syracuse, NY and Benjamin (Lesli Tibai) Amos of Temperance; brother, Barney Kleist of Paul Smiths, NY; sister, Debbie Kleist of Syracuse, NY; 5 grandchildren, Rhys (Maisy), Brennan, Jonathan, Gerald, and Louis of Temperance; nieces, Leah and Laura; nephew, Scottie; many cousins and close friends.

Teresa was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Frederick; and her parents.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 15th, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, February 17th, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Maurer Funeral Home 300 Second Street Liverpool, New York. There will be a gathering for friends and family after the service with dinner provided, location TBD. Burial will be Monday, February 19th, 2024 in Mount Green Cemetery, Romulus, New York.
