Daughter of William Henry and Sally Boyd Rowell Rowell, wife of Henry Gary Foxworth.

Her husband nicknamed her "Cricket" because she was so tiny. She was soft-spoken with a dignity and grace that's rare. Rheumatoid arthritis attacked her joints and made even the smallest movements extremely painful, yet she never complained.

It was said at her funeral, "Miss Annie Mae had the marvelous ability to turn conversations away from herself to that which was filled with life and meaning. Her faith and belief in prayer was strong. Her prayer was not so much that she be relieved from suffering but that she would be enabled to endure it. She leaves behind to those who knew her best, a rich heritage. A heritage of sweetness, of tenderness, of faith and of love."
