Janice Marie Nichols, of Roeland Park, died on January 29, 2006, at her home, at the age of 59.
She was born on June 17, 1946, in Eureka, the daughter of Lloyd and Dorothy (Snider) Nichols. She was raised in Eureka, and graduated from Eureka High School. She graduated from Emporia State Teacher's College with a Bachelor of Science degree. She finished her medical technology internship in 1968, working for KU Medical Center, until retirement in October of 2005.
Janice is survived by her father, Lloyd Nichols of Eureka; one brother, ... of Eureka; one sister, Lorena Oblander of Flower Mound, Texas; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy; and her dog, Toby.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 4, 2006, at Koup Family Funeral Home, in Eureka. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
