Amy Deloris Hedgepeth was called to eternal rest on Sunday, November 27, 2016, in Sentara CarePlex Hospital. Her life began on July 13, 1968, the daughter of Gail Davis Hedgepeth and the late Charlie R. Hedgepeth. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her mother, Gail D. Hedgepeth; her son, DeVonte Piggott (Ryan); her sisters, Angela Snipes (Curtis), Cheryl Hedgepeth and Tamika Hedgepeth; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and many caring friends, A funeral service celebrating the life she lived will be held 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 3, 2016, in Little Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Florence and Rev. Linwood Gatling officiating. Interment will follow in Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 430 N. Chalice Court by 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. Ms. Hedgepeth may be viewed in the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
