Irene L. Donovan, 91, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2023. Born in NY on August 19,1931 to her loving parents Madeline (Conley) McNulty and Francis McNulty. Beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Donovan.
Loving mother to Thomas Donovan and his wife Meredith of Corpus Christi TX., Kevin Donovan of Plymouth, MA., Brian Donovan of Roslindale, Ma., Irene Sawiski and her husband Daniel, of Plymouth Ma., Garry Donovan of Roslindale, Ma., the late Robert Donovan of Roslindale, Ma., Doreen Donovan of Houston TX. and Barry Donovan of Roslindale Ma. Beloved Nana to Daniel Sawiski Jr and his wife Lynn, Kevin Sawiski and his wife Tracey, Jan (Sawiski) Lamey and her husband Pat, Brian Sawiski and his wife Danielle, Thomas Donovan, Heather Kostoff and her husband Mark, Erin Sabala and her husband Marcus and 14 great grandchildren, Ryan, Colin, Jack, Thomas, Grace, Luke, Miles, Lilly, Rose, Paul, Brendan, Madison, Sean and Madeline. Devoted sister to the late Dorothea Reich of Hanover, MA. Cooking for her large family over the years was something Irene would do with great joy. She enjoyed working in her gardens and was always accompanied by one of her many cherished dogs. She was a regular at Nantasket Beach with her children and their friends by her side inspiring them to love and appreciate the ocean she cherished!
We would like to acknowledge the staff at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale for her many years of wonderful and devoted care. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to join us on June 24th at 11am at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers donations in Irene's memory may be sent to the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center Boston Ma.
