Fred T. Martin, 69, of Englewood, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2002 at his residence.
A son of the late John and Lillie Mae Peel Martin, he was a native of Tellico Plains and McMinn County for over 50 years and attended Englewood Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents and three half sisters, Sis Martin, Mae Martin and Jewell Clark and one half brother, Clyde Martin.
Survivors include his wife, Ola Mae Torbett Martin of Englewood; one daughter, Barbara Walker of Englewood; one grandson, Benji Jamerson and his wife, Laura Jamerson of Englewood; one great grandson, Zeke Jamerson; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ola Mae and Narvin Clark of Etowah, Bessie Brooks of Englewood and Lara and T.L. Womac of Riceville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Fate and Georgia Martin of Englewood and Ray Martin of Englewood; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2002 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Cardin and Joe Harris officiating. Burial will be in McMinn Memory Gardens with Terry Martin, Bobby Clark, Mike Roberts, Roger McInturff and Ralph Martin serving as pallbearers
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
