Glick. --- Samuel, son of the late Christian and Elizabeth Glick, was born in Lancaster Co., Pa., Mary 9, 1870; departed from this life Aug. 19, 1950, at the Lancaster General Hospital; aged 80 y. 3 m. 10 d. Death resulted from injuries received in a fall two days earlier. His wife (Salinda Mast), 3 sons and 3 daughters preceded him in death. One son (Elam) predeceased him by 6 weeks. In his early years he united with the Conestoga Mennonite Church, Morgantown, Pa., remaining faithful until death. He was always willing to be used in church and Sunday-school activities. In his late years he suffered from shaking palsy and expressed a desire to depart and be with the Lord. He resided at the homestead with his son (Roy). Surviving are 9 children (Lena-Mrs. Harry Musser, Honey Brook, Pa.; Sarah-Mrs. Elmer Stoltzfus, Yellow House, Pa.; Mary-Mrs. Jeb Stoltzfus, Elverson, Pa.; Lydia-Mrs. David C. Lapp, Ronks, Pa.; Alvin, Morgantown, Pa.; Roy, Narvon, Pa.; Melvin, Eureka, Ill.; John, Boyerstown, Pa.; Minnie-Mrs. Roy Y. Stoltzfus, Douglassville, Pa.), 47 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 3 brothers (Jacob, Lancaster, Pa.; Amos, Belleville, Pa.; and Christ, Sugarcreek, Ohio). Funeral services were held Aug. 22 at the home of his late son (Roy) by Calvin Kennel and at the Conestoga Mennonite Church by Ira A. Kurtz and David Weaver. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
