Levy Adams died Monday, May 26, 2008, at the Monroe Health Care & Rehab in Tompkinsville.

Born in Monroe County, he was a son of the late Joe and Neomi(Fox)Adams and the husband of Mary Samantha (Strode) Adams, who survives.They were married Dec. 31,1941, by Judge J. E. Martin at the Court House.

He was retired from Roy Anderson Lumber Company,a member of the Poplar Log Baptist Church,and a U.S.Army Veteran.

Survivors include two sons,Billy and Elmer Adams,and three sisters, Ruie Adams,Chlorine Sheffield,and Dealie Hale,all of Tompkinsville.

A son, Dennis Ray Adams, two brothers Jesse and Clyde Adams,four sisters,Flossie Summers, Lemie Webb, Ruby Adams,and Lucy Hicks; and a half sister, Leona Creasey,all preceded him in death.
He was the son of the late Joe Adams and Naomi Fox Adams.

Military graveside services were conducted by Glasgow D.A. V. Chapter 20.

Pallbearers were Danny and Tony Blythe,Bobby Lane,Neal Summers,Gary Emberton and Johnny Wood. Honorary pallbearers were John Hamilton,Bennie Clemons,Ronny Hale,Raymond Copas,Roger Proffitt,Tommie Crawford and Eddie Humes.

Burial was in the Poplar Log-Bowman Cemetery.
